Arkansas statutes provide for the transfer of appraisers who move to Arkansas and are currently certified or licensed in other jurisdictions, provided the appraiser is coming from a State (Home State) that is “in compliance” with Title XI as determined by the Appraisal Subcommittee; the applicant holds a valid credential from his or her Home State; the applicant’s background meets SBAAHI qualifications; and the Home State is deemed to have substantially equivalent licensing and certification requirements.

Transfer applications must be accompanied by certificates for a current USPAP Continuing Education Course and Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations.

Once an application for transfer has been approved, the individual credential holder will be held to the same laws, rules, standards, and renewal requirements of a resident appraiser for the individual’s credential level.
