The State Board of Appraisers, Abstracters, and Home Inspectors receives and investigates complaints against registered home inspectors accused of violating laws, rules, standards of practice, or code of ethics. If the Board finds that a home inspector has violated any of these, it can only invoke penalties or suspend or revoke licenses. The Board cannot order a home inspector to refund inspection fees, pay damages, or complete a new/revised inspection. Monetary relief is not available from this Board.
