- RENEWAL DEADLINE: December 31 each year
If you renew after December 31, you must include the fee and $50 for each month or partial month you are late.
- The renewal fee is $185 ($250 – $65 discount).
- You must submit completion certificates for 14 hours of CE/QE taken within the last year. Please Note: Attendance verifications are not adequate; completion certificates are required.
- You must submit a current Certificate of Insurance (COI)**, which must include all the following information:
- Your name and address as the insured.
- Name, business address, and telephone number of the local agent from whom you obtained the policy.
- Name of the actual insurance carrier.
- Coverage being provided (a minimum of $100,000.00 professional liability).
- The insurance policy number.
- The “State Board of Appraisers, Abstracters, and Home Inspectors, 900 W. Capitol Ave, Ste. 400, Little Rock, AR 72201″ named as the certificate holder.
- The beginning AND ending dates of the coverage.
- Signature of the issuing agent.
- Cancellation and notification requirements as specified in Ark. Code §17-52-318(a) & (b), i.e., All policies and certificates shall provide that cancellation or renewal of the policy shall not be effective unless and until at least ten (10) days’ notice of cancellation or non-renewal has been received in writing by the State Board of Appraisers, Abstracters, and Home Inspectors.)
**Please Note: It is the responsibility of the Home Inspector to provide the Board a current copy of the COI at registration and each year thereafter before the policy expires. Do not rely on your insurance company to provide it for you.
