“Occasionally contractors may receive emails that appear to be from the Contractors Licensing Board, but are actually “phishing” or “spam” emails sent by third parties who may be attempting to steal your private information.  An example of such an email is below.  IF YOU RECEIVE AN EMAIL THAT LOOKS SUSPICIOUS, OR ASKS YOU TO DOCUSIGN SOMETHING, OR PROVIDES A LINK FOR YOU TO FOLLOW, REPORT THE EMAIL USING THE PHISHING BUTTON ON YOUR MICROSOFT EMAIL ACCOUNT AND, ABOVE ALL, DO NOT OPEN IT.  You may always call the Contractors Licensing Board to have an email verified if you are in doubt.”
