The Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission is committed to doing our part in helping to achieve the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s goal of expanding home ownership and ending the tragedy of homelessness, through the production of affordable housing that is well designed, well constructed, durable and safe. The Commission has been approved by HUD to enforce the Federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards as well as the Federal Manufactured Home Procedural and Enforcement Regulations within the State of Arkansas. Under our cooperative agreement with HUD, the Commission’s responsibilities include retail lot inspections under Subpart F and the monitoring of the consumer complaint resolution process. By statute, the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission is charged with certifying/licensing all manufacturers, retailers, installers, and salespersons engaged in the business of manufactured housing.
