Arkansas Abstracters Board

Act 725
Roster search

On April 11, 2023, Governor Sanders signed Senate Bill 354 into law, which is now Act 628. The new law created the State Board of Appraisers, Abstracters, and Home Inspectors.

The board is composed of 11 members, appointed by the Governor, and subject to confirmation by the Arkansas Senate. Members are chosen based on their expertise and experience in the fields of appraisers, abstracters, and home inspectors. The board also includes a financial member and senior/consumer member.

The merger of these boards streamlined the regulatory process and created a more efficient and effective system for overseeing these important careers. The new board, which began its work on July 1, 2023, provides a more comprehensive and coordinated approach to regulating the professions of appraisers, abstracters, and home inspectors.
