The Arkansas Legislature passed Act 202 in 1925 and licensure of engineers began. Now, 100 years on, the Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors remains fully committed to protecting the health and well-being of the general public by determining that the individuals it licenses are experienced and competent to provide engineering services in the State. Additionally, since 1967, the Board has also endeavored to ensure competence and experience in the surveying profession.
Our Board welcomes you to the PELS website. We are confident that you will find a wide range of useful and easily accessible information relative to the licensure of professional engineers and professional surveyors in Arkansas.
