The Education and Training Section provides assistance to employers in need of workplace health and safety information or training. The section also offers seminars to become an Approved Professional Safety Source.
The Health and Safety Division (HSD) of the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission (AWCC) provides the required Approved Professional Safety Source (APSS) seminars.
Only after attending the seminar may the APSS provide consultation services to employers in the Rule 099.32 program. Requirements for approval to be an APSS are detailed in Rule 099.31.
There is no charge for this seminar, and enrollees receive an email with materials attached. All training sessions will be done via Microsoft Teams.

Persons enrolling must complete an application, AWCC Form HS-31-A, and submit it for approval to the HSD at the AWCC, Post Office Box 950, Little Rock, AR 72203 – 0950.
In addition to training, services include educational materials and on-site consultations.
